We are excited to share the December 2024 edition of our SAMS monthly series, wherein we bring you a consolidated view of the monthly changes to all major global sanctions lists.
Approximately 825 people and organizations were added to the global major sanctions list in the month of December 2024. Leading the plot, SECO, Switzerland expanded its database by 314 names. The European Union sanctioned 168 people and 49 entities, while OFAC USA sanctioned 62 people, 89 entities and 30 vessels.
62 new names were added to the list by the United Kingdom HM Treasury, and 1 organization and 40 people were sanctioned by Global Affairs Canada. Japan Ministry of finance sanctioned 4 individuals.
The UN Security Council and Australian Department of Foreign Affairs sanctioned 3 name each.
All these names were updated in our proprietary database in real-time, ensuring our clients always stay globally and locally compliant.
