We are excited to share the January 2024 edition of our SAMS monthly series, wherein we bring you a consolidated view of the monthly changes to all major global sanctions lists.
In the first month of 2024, 770+ individuals and entities were added to the major sanctions list globally. Global Affairs Canada led the charge by adding 296 names to its database. While the Australian Foreign Affairs Department sanctioned 214 individuals and entities, OFAC added 75 names to its watchlist.
European Union added 88 names to the list, UK HMT sanctioned 59 individuals and entities, SECO, Switzerland sanctioned 13 individuals and 29 entities, Ministry of Finance Japan sanctioned total of 28 names. European Union and United Nations further sanctioned 88 and 3 names respectively.
All these names were updated in our proprietary database in real-time, ensuring our clients always stay globally and locally compliant.
