We are excited to share the January 2025 edition of our SAMSmonthly series, wherein we bring you a consolidated view of the monthly changes to all major global sanctions lists.

Approximately 809 people and organizations were added to the global major sanctions list in the month of January 2024. Leading the plot, OFAC, USA, expanded its database by 618 names. The European Union sanctioned 32 people, while Global Affairs Canada sanctioned 36 people and 13 entities.

57 new names were added to the list by the United Kingdom HMT Treasury, and 32 organizations and 10 people were sanctioned by the Japan Ministry of Finance. SECO Switzerland sanctioned 11 names.

All these names were updated in our proprietary database in real-time, ensuring our clients always stay globally and locally compliant.
