We are excited to share the July 2024 edition of our SAMS monthly series, wherein we bring you a consolidated view of the monthly changes to all major global sanctions lists.
Approximately 401 people and organizations were added to the global major sanctions list in the first month of July 2024. Leading the plot, SECO, Switzerland, expanded its database by 141 names. Global Affairs Canada sanctioned 112 people and 8 entities, while OFAC USA added 40 people and 38 entities to the list.
23 new names were added to the list by the European Union, and17 organizations and 2 people were sanctioned by United Kingdom HM Treasury.
The Japan Ministry of Finance and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs sanctioned 7 and 8, respectively.
All these names were updated in our proprietary database in real-time, ensuring our clients always stay globally and locally compliant.
