We are excited to share the February 2024 edition of our SAMS monthly series, wherein we bring you a consolidated view of the monthly changes to all major global sanctions lists.
Approximately 1400 people and organizations were added to the global major sanctions list in the first month of 2024. Leading the plot, OFAC USA expanded its database by 627 names. The European Union sanctioned 140 people and 91 entities, while Global Affairs Canada sanctioned 187 people and 153 entities.
161 new names were added to the list by the United Kingdom HM Treasury, and 8 organizations and 27 people were sanctioned by SECO, Switzerland. Six more people were sanctioned by the United Nations.
All these names were updated in our proprietary database in real-time, ensuring our clients always stay globally and locally compliant.
