We are excited to share the October 2024 edition of our SAMS monthly series, wherein we bring you a consolidated view of the monthly changes to all major global sanctions lists.
Approximately 864 people and organizations were added to the global major sanctions list in the month of October 2024. Leading the plot, OFAC USA expanded its database by 512 names. The European Union sanctioned 19 people and 10 entities, while Global Affairs Canada sanctioned 81 people and 11 entities.
130 new names were added to the list by the United Kingdom HM Treasury, and 63 organizations, 27 vessels and 2 people were sanctioned by SECO, Switzerland.
The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs sanctioned 9 names.
All these names were updated in our proprietary database in real-time, ensuring our clients always stay globally and locally compliant.
