We are excited to share the September 2024 edition of our SAMS monthly series, wherein we bring you a consolidated view of the monthly changes to all major global sanctions’ lists.
In the first month of September 2024, 400 individuals, vessels and organizations were added to the global major sanctions list. OFAC USA again took the lead and added 173 names to their database. While the European Union sanctioned 98 individuals, 33 entities, the UK HM Treasury sanctioned 54 names.
Global Affairs Canada added 27 fresh names to the list, and SECO Switzerland sanctioned 6 individuals. Department of Foreign Affairs Australia imposed sanctions on 5 names.
Japanese Ministry of Finance and United Nations sanctioned 1 and 3 names respectively.
All these names were updated in our proprietary database in real-time, ensuring our clients always stay globally and locally compliant.
