In Dec 2022, a total of 999 individuals, entities, and vessels were added to the major sanctions list globally. December saw a staggering 159 naval vessels being sanctioned by various authorities globally. These were primarily shipping and fishing vessels from China (Fu Yuan Yu, Long Xing, etc) that were sanctioned by the OFAC.

The OFAC also sanctioned 85 entities and 105 individuals, while the EU sanctioned 60 entities and 204 individuals. Finally, the SECO (State Secretariat for Economic Affairs), Switzerland sanctioned 54 entities and 156 individuals.

All of these changes were updated in our proprietary database in real-time, ensuring our clients always stay globally and locally compliant.
